As Executive Creative Director, SVP, and Partner at FUSE Create in Toronto, Steve is responsible for not only the creative excellence at the agency, but also the growth of the agency overall. Previous to joining FUSE, Steve spent 14 years as SVP, Creative Director at OneMethod, where he helped grow the agency tenfold and win more than 200 awards in the process. Previously, Steve spent time as a ‘suit’ in Vancouver, BC at Cossette where he helped launch Canadian Tire’s private label brand. Steve also spent time as a Copywriter at BBDO Toronto.
Over the past 21+ years, Steve has had the privilege of working with some of North America’s most influential brands including Nestlé, Pepsi Frito-Lay, Microsoft, Kijiji, Nokia, McDonald’s, FedEx, Daimler-Chrysler, Nike, RBC, Ricola, Maple Leaf Foods, Air Miles, and Johnson & Johnson, to name a few. Steve is a member of the Seneca College Advertising Advisory Committee and sits as Chair of the Humber College Copywriting Advisory Board. Steve’s also sat as judge at the Cannes, DAOY, AToMiC, Marketing Awards, Webby’s, and New York Festivals. He is a sought-after speaker at colleges and conferences alike, including SMW, OpenDialogue, ADC, and the CMA, and currently teaches at the Miami Ad School and ICA.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce, Steve first worked in consulting where he developed feasibility studies, marketing plans and market research analyses. In addition, he spent several years as a touring singer/songwriter. When Steve isn’t creating award-winning work, you can find him playing music, sketching and writing bios.
